Overcoming Depression” is a small series of cups and saucers created to explore how a simple cup can represent deep feelings through materials like porcelain and concrete. I am interested in combining different materials and taking advantage of qualities that are appointed to them. Purity and fragility are assigned to porcelain while roughness and toughness are assigned to concrete.
