I began listening to victims of domestic abuse, mostly women, who spoke of losing their sense of self. That gradual, invisible transformation became the core of Becoming, the final part of this three-part project. These works attempt to materialize what can’t be seen or explained easily: how a person changes when they’ve been silenced, worn down, made to feel unrecognizable.
