Through a nightmare
While being treated for depression and anxiety, a conflict with my medication brought terrifying visions. Each night, giant anthropomorphic insects filled my room, turning sleep into a nightmare.
That was my reality, silently endured, until my treatment was adjusted and the nightmares faded.
This work gives form to that invisible struggle, and speaks to the many who carry their pain quietly, without the words or space to share it. It is a gesture of recognition, for fear that goes unseen, and for the courage it takes to live through it.
